This is what I plan to write in my report: 


Umbro’s product line is very streamlined. As it appears, they have segregated themselves to sportswear for years, and are now struggling to keep up with their competitors. They mainly sell sports apparel and equipment, including football shirts, football boots, and footballs. Umbro have done collaborations with many brands ranging from MissGuided to Off-White. These have added to their product lines, however; not officially since it is a collaboration and not solely Umbro. Meaning that the only clothing they sell is sportswear, and no streetwear. The sportswear market is newly saturated, when Umbro first came about, they were the only sportswear brand around, meaning that they could charge high prices and people would buy their products because they had the monopoly. However, now there are many more brands offering more current clothing, Umbro’s pricing has to be competitive, as this will help make their brand more attractive. They do have competitive pricing, as their costliest product is still priced 35% lower than most of their competitors. When it comes to distribution, Umbro have no independent stores, so their products are a lot harder to get hold of, even though they are sold in over 90 countries, with expansion plans in several other economies. Having no physical stores gives them a less likely chance of gaining customers since not everyone buys online. Umbro has promoted itself as a football and sportswear brand for years, however, have never had any specific advertising such as TV ads, and have only ever been promoted through other companies or through social media. As soon as you go onto the Umbro website, the first thing you see is the “BIG DISCOUNT 50% OFF!”, this adds a certain exclusivity for the brands’ followers.
